Introduction

I have been doing triangle weaving (and other shapes) for a number of years now, and I think I have made most of the available mistakes.  When I first started doing this, there were not a lot of resources available for people, so doing triangle weaving was pretty much a "homebrew" experience.  There were no looms to buy, there were few or no books.  There were few instructors.  I learned to use a triangle loom at a local weaving store that provided looms for our use.  That was fine as long as the class lasted, but if you wanted to continue, sooner or later, you needed to construct your own loom...and then the fun began.  These days it is possible to purchase a triangle loom from several sources.  These looms appear to be nice enough, but they can also be spendy.  That is not to say that the people who construct and sell the looms are not entitled to be reimbursed for their innovation and for the work it takes to construct a loom, but if you don't know if you really want to pursue triangle weaving or you just don't have the money to invest, there are ways to construct a do-it-yourself loom for a reasonable investment in materials and a little time.  If you are one of those intrepid people who want to have the adventure of constructing a triangle loom, I am writing this blog for you.
